Why is no one in power paying attention to this report? That's what I don't understand. The panel wasn't even created by the current president, so it should not be a matter of Republicans and Democrats. This issue affects us all, as you point out. This week I wrote about a book called Anticancer on my blog, providing suggestions of what to do once you are part of that 40%. The author believes he got brain cancer from playing in a cornfield sprayed with atrazine during his childhood. The day after the release of this report, the American Cancer Society pooh-poohed it. For me, a light went off. It must be funded by the chemical industry! Anyone who has read Slow Death by Rubber Duck and Our Stolen Future knows toxic chemicals, gone wild in our environment, need regulation. Please write other posts describing how regular citizens like me can participate in the looming battle to get Congress to revise the Toxic Chemicals Act.

Alison,

I came across this article while doing some research for the following essay that I just finished writing:

    http://fontilica.blogspot.com/2010/12/cancer-profiteering.html

Enjoyed your article greatly and quoted from it in my essay. Hope that would be alright. Otherwise, let me know and I will happily remove the quote.

Best,
Amir
